Spring Season 2026

Spring is the primary season for girls’ high school varsity lacrosse. The Jets Girls Lacrosse team competes in the Greater Birmingham Youth Lacrosse Association (GBYLA), playing against teams from Birmingham and Auburn.

  • Open to girls in grades 7-12 from any school in the Huntsville-Madison metro area.
  • Practices held in Huntsville and Madison.  
  • No experience required – all skill levels are welcome.

Cost

$450 Registration Fee

+ $35 USA Lacrosse Membership

Schedule

January thru May

  • Practices 3x times per week at James Clemens HS
  • 12 games (6 Home / 6 Away) + playoffs

How to Register

    1. Verify USA Lacrosse Membership:
      1. Go to usalacrosse.com to get your USA Lacrosse membership number.
      2. If you do not have a USA Lacrosse member number, select ‘Join’ and follow the instructions to create a new account. If you’re a parent creating an account, you do not need a membership for yourself – add your child as household user and purchase a membership for them.
      3. If you already have a USA Lacrosse member number, ensure the ‘Valid Thru’ date is 05/2026 or later. If it is not, renew your membership before registering.
      4. Confirm USA Lacrosse Card shows ‘Age Verified’.
    2. Register with Jets Girls Lacrosse Club:
      1. Fill out online registration form: Google Form.
    3. For 7th & 8th Graders Only, Request to Play-Up to the High School Division:
      1. Email jetsgirlslacrosse@gmail.com and request play-up approval prior to registering with GBYLA.
    4. Obtain Proof of School Enrollment:
      1. Must include: (1) student’s first and last name, (2) name of school, (3) current grade, (4) 2025-2026 school year.
      2. Must be a downloaded or scanned document. Do not provide cellphone screenshots.
      3. Recommended proof: report card (‘Save as PDF’ from PowerSchool), school ID with required information, letter from school administrator.
    5. Register with GBYLA:
      1. Go to gbyla.org/register.
      2. Click ‘Sign Up’ for the Spring Season 2026 – Girls High School Spring Season and click ‘Register’.
      3. Follow the instructions to register including providing your USA Lacrosse member number and proof of school enrollment. Be sure to select James Clemens GHS as your team.
    6. Pay Registration Fees:
      1. Pay by check made out to ‘Jets Girls Lacrosse Club’, include player’s name on memo line, and provide to a coach or board member.
      2. Or pay by Venmo to Jets Girls Lacrosse Club (@jetsgirlslacrosse) and include player’s name as a note.
