Head Coach
Marissa Henderson
Marissa Henderson is a dedicated girls’ lacrosse coach and former standout collegiate attacker known for her competitive drive and passion for developing athletes at all levels. She played three seasons at Birmingham-Southern College, earning an All-SAA honoree and establishing herself as a consistent offensive leader with strong two-way contributions.
Marissa has extensive coaching experience across youth and high school programs, including HotBama Lacrosse, the Peachtree City Warriors club, and Oak Mountain Girls Lacrosse, where she served as an assistant coach. She has coached athletes from mini sticks through high school, emphasizing strong fundamentals, lacrosse IQ, and building confident, hardworking teams.
Originally from McDonough, Georgia, Marissa was a three-year letterwinner, two-time all-area selection, and her high school program’s all-time leading scorer. She also competed with the Peachtree City Warriors club team.
After her collegiate career, Marissa transitioned into coaching, bringing her knowledge, experience, and energy to players across Alabama and the Southeast. She is passionate about growing the game, developing well-rounded athletes, and fostering a positive, competitive culture both on and off the field.
Marissa hold a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Birmingham-Southern College.
Assistant Coach
Emily Pachinger
Emily Pachinger is a committed girls’ lacrosse coach with a strong defensive background and deep experience competing at both the high school and collegiate levels. Originally from Mentor, Ohio, she was a four-year varsity letterwinner at Division I Mentor High School, where she excelled as a defender and draw specialist. Emily earned Greater Cleveland All-Conference honors and was twice named Defensive Player of the Year.
She began her collegiate career at Lake Erie College, a GMAC Conference Championship program, where she was recognized as Team MVP and Defensive Player of the Year. Emily later transferred to The University of Alabama in Huntsville to continue her academic and athletic career, competing as a defender and earning placement on the GSC Honor Roll as well as induction into Chi Alpha Sigma.
Emily graduated from UAH in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and completed her Master of Education in 2025. She currently teaches second grade in the Madison County School System and brings the same dedication, discipline, and enthusiasm to the classroom that she brings to the lacrosse field.
